We are proud to declare our Pauleen West from Villa 18 was named the 2024 North Western Sydney Senior Volunteer of the Year. This much admired award celebrates Pauleen’s decade-long commitment to improving the quality and lives of many seniors in the Hawkesbury region.

The North Western Sydney Volunteer of the Year Awards, were held at Castle Hill RSL, 20 August 2024.

Pauleen was recognised for her outstanding effort at RSL Lifecare Ron Middleton VC Gardens, Grose Vale Road, North Richmond.

Pauleen’s background in psychology, counselling and, her spiritual convictions, is the reason she has been a source of joy for 80 residents for the past 10 years. She has devoted her time arranging activities that have brought pleasure and satisfaction to the residents in her care.

Pauleen said,”It was a great honour to receive the award.”

At 86 Pauleen still runs the Monday Book Club as well as bringing love and support to those in palliative care or who need special support during trying times in their lives. She still finds time to assist on Tuesdays with room visits, and on Fridays Pauleen assists with the Church Service.

Pauleen said she has been going to Ron Middleton for the past 10 years and is not ready to slow down yet!
